Last time, we looked at our final map from Depths of the Dwarven Mine, a schematic map of the entire dungeon, used to concept the configuration of the different rooms relative to one another.
With the conclusion of the maps from Depths of the Dwarven Mine, I decided I wanted to revisit some maps I drew back for the awesome Dungeon23 challenge, from a few years back.

My idea was to draw one room a day for different buildings of a city. Then, each month, I would descend one level deeper into the underbelly of this urban adventure locale.
I barely made it to February! But that means I did draw a bunch of maps of the city though. Rather than share each room, one at a time, I’m going to share the completed building, at least for the “ground floor”. If you use the maps, you’ll have to invent what lies below on your own!
The Wayward Stag
Common Room
The Common Room of the Wayward Stag is a large rectangular room, with the longer direction oriented East-West. Several long tables with benches line each side of the room and the center of the room is dominated by a large open hearth. Double doors in the south wall wall lead out to the street. The bar is located along the north wall with a small doorway behind it leading into the kitchen beyond. The clientele of the Stag is usually well behaved for being in this part of town, but in the wee hours of the morning it’s not uncommon for a few drunken scuffles to occur.
Kitchen
The kitchen of the Wayward Stag is a chaotic place full of bustle and the delicious smells of baking bread and grilling meats. A staircase leads to a basement below where the cook stores additional ingredients as well as casks of wine and ale.
