For this inaugural post of Map Monday’s I wanted to share a map I’m very fond of: the Dwarven Mine village from our adventure Depths of the Dwarven Mine.
This adventure was designed as a companion to the adventures in the Wizards of the Coast book, Ghosts of Saltmarsh, detailing the location of the Dwarven Mine and concocting a new threat that the PC’s must deal with. The full adventure, including the village and mine maps, are all available on DMs Guild.

The village itself is pretty spartan. Most of the buildings are small cabins or bunk houses (V4) for the miners. There are large warehouses for storing ore (V2a and V2b), the overseers office (V6), a pub (V5), and the windlass (V9) that is used to drive mine cart traffic in and out of the mine.
Of course, this map can be used for any fortified mining settlement you might need in your game, whether it’s run by dwarves or not!
You can download the map here, and don’t forget to sign-up for the CritFail.Post if you’d rather get Map Monday’s sent to your inbox…on Friday’s.
